We’ve Got Soul!
In April we were split between France and Japan. In the Masters of Cinema series we released 2 french masterpieces: Une Femme Mariée by Jean-Luc Godard, and La Gueule Ouverte our third release by Maurice Pialat. From Japan we had 2 box sets, the first brought together our 3 releases from Shunya Ito forming the Female Prisoner Scorpion Trilogy, and one for all the Pinku fans out there Hanzo the Razor.
May sees the release of Il Grido in the Masters of Cinema series, directed by one of the most celebrated of all directors, Michelangelo Antonioni, who sadly passed passed away in summer 2007. In the Eureka Classics range Frank Sinatra stars as lounge singer Danny Wilson in Meet Danny Wilson which featuring a range of Sinatra standards is avilable fopr the first time in the UK.
We’re currently full steam ahead on our latest theatrical release – Soul Power which will première at this years Glastonbury Festival so if you are lucky enough to be there this year and feel like escaping the inevitable mud bath go and check it out!
