Eureka! announces December line-up featuring Robert Aldrich’s APACHE and a trio of Sammo Hung Classics

Eureka! has unveiled its December 2025 line-up, offering film fans an exciting blend of classic Western cinema and martial arts mastery. This month’s releases showcase the work of two legendary figures from opposite sides of the genre spectrum: the great American auteur Robert Aldrich and the iconic Hong Kong action star Sammo Hung.

A Landmark Western: Apache Comes to Blu-ray

Best known for his genre-defining work in film noir (Kiss Me Deadly), psychological horror (What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?), and explosive war epics (The Dirty Dozen), Robert Aldrich was also a master of the Western. Among his finest contributions to the genre is Apache (1954), his debut Western and one of the earliest Hollywood films to depict a Native American protagonist in a sympathetic light.

Starring screen legend Burt Lancaster, Apache tells the powerful story of a Native American warrior resisting the westward expansion of white settlers in 19th-century America. With its striking visuals and strong character focus, Apache remains a bold and important entry in the Western canon.

As part of the esteemed Masters of Cinema series, Apache will be released on Blu-ray in the UK for the very first time on 8 December 2025. This Limited Edition (strictly limited to 2,000 copies) will be housed in an O-card slipcase and include a collector’s booklet featuring new writing on the film.

Sammo Hung spotlight: Three films charting a varied and legendary career

Eureka Classics is also celebrating the enduring legacy of Sammo Hung with a stunning three-film collection that spans the breadth of his remarkable career. From his early supporting role in The Manchu Boxer to leading performances in Paper Marriage and Shanghai, Shanghai, this collection highlights Hung’s versatility and evolution from rising star to genre icon.

Whether it’s the traditional kung fu of The Manchu Boxer, the romantic comedy action of Paper Marriage, or the gritty, stylised crime drama of Shanghai, Shanghai—a film with clear influences from the “heroic bloodshed” wave of the 1980s and ’90s—these films showcase Sammo Hung at his dynamic best.

All three films will be available together for the first time on Blu-ray in the UK on 8 December 2025 and North America on 9 December 2025 as a Limited Edition set, also capped at 2,000 copies. Packaged in an O-card slipcase, the release features an exclusive bonus disc and a collector’s booklet packed with insightful essays and archival materials.

These new additions to the Masters of Cinema and Eureka Classics ranges continue our commitment to delivering high-quality, collectible editions of some of the world’s most influential and entertaining films. Don’t miss your chance to own these limited releases—available this December from Eureka!
