Eureka unveils a trio of Limited-Edition Blu-rays showcasing Kurosawa, Cohen, and Chow in its January 2026 line-up

Eureka! is kicking off 2026 with a thrilling slate of home entertainment releases for January, featuring a classic martial arts comedy from Hong Kong superstar Stephen Chow, two haunting masterpieces by Japan’s acclaimed auteur Kiyoshi Kurosawa, and a wild genre mash-up of horror parody and teen comedy from cult filmmaker Larry Cohen.

Two Psychological Masterworks from Kiyoshi Kurosawa

A revered filmmaker celebrated for his deliberate pacing and atmospheric storytelling, Kiyoshi Kurosawa has long been regarded as one of Japan’s most distinctive voices in cinema, known for modern classics such as Cure, Pulse, Tokyo Sonata and Creepy.

This January, Eureka’s Masters of Cinema series proudly presents two more essential works from Kurosawa’s filmography — Charisma and Cloud — collected together on Blu-ray for the first time on UK home video.

Made 25 years apart, the films showcase the evolution of Kurosawa’s psychological and philosophical cinema. Cloud is exclusive to this Blu-ray release and will be strictly limited to 2,000 copies. The dual-film set comes packaged in a collectible O-card slipcase and includes a collector’s booklet.

Charisma and Cloud will be available from 26 January 2026.

Larry Cohen’s High-School Howler: Full Moon High

Before Teen Wolf brought werewolves to the 1980s, maverick independent filmmaker Larry Cohen — the creative mind behind cult hits It’s Alive, The Stuff, and The Ambulance — unleashed Full Moon High in 1981.

Starring Adam Arkin, this energetic horror-comedy sends a teenage werewolf back to high school, combining sharp satire with affectionate homage to the “teenage monster” movies of the 1950s. Blending Mel Brooks-style parody with pointed political commentary, Full Moon High remains one of Cohen’s most delightfully unhinged films.

Eureka Classics brings Full Moon High to Blu-ray in the UK for the first time, available from 19 January 2026. This limited edition release (2,000 copies only) includes an O-card slipcase and a collector’s booklet.

Stephen Chow’s Martial Arts Comedy Classic: King of Beggars

At the dawn of the 1990s, as Hong Kong action cinema was ruled by Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung, a new star emerged — Stephen Chow, whose comedic brilliance and martial arts flair redefined the genre.

Following his breakout success in Fight Back to School and Royal Tramp, Chow brought new life to the legendary folk hero So Chan — known as “Beggar So” — in King of Beggars. This hilarious and action-packed retelling of the drunken boxing master’s story cemented Chow’s status as a rising icon of Hong Kong cinema.

Eureka Classics is proud to present King of Beggars on Blu-ray for the first time outside of Asia. This strictly limited edition (2,000 copies) comes in a collectible O-card slipcase with a collector’s booklet, available 26 January 2026 in the UK and 27 January 2026 in North America.

From psychological thrillers to martial arts comedy and teen horror hijinks, Eureka’s January 2026 line-up promises a dynamic start to the new year for cinephiles and collectors alike.

We will have a dedicated site for our North American titles in due course, but in the meantime these titles will be available from all good home entertainment retailers including the following online outlets:
