The Masters of Cinema Series welcomes Hideo Gosha, whilst there’s more from Michelle Yeoh as the latest entry to the Eureka Classics range is announced as part of Eureka’s February 2023 line-up

Eureka! Has announced its February 2023 line-up. Featured amongst this line-up is one of the wildest, bloodiest, and most visually stunning Yakuza exploitation movies ever made; and Michelle Yeoh stars as an Indiana Jones-inspired hero.

One of the finest directors of Japanese chambara (sword fighting) films, Hideo Gosha (Sword of the Beast, Three Outlaw Samurai) also directed a number of films in the yakuza genre. The most outstanding of these was Violent Streets; a baroque crime thriller about a retired yakuza who gets pulled into a violent gang war by his former associates.  A bold and colourful entry in the yakuza genre, Hideo Gosha’s Violent Streets makes its worldwide debut on Blu-ray from a new restoration completed by Toei Company, Ltd. Available as part of The Masters of Cinema Series from 20 February 2023, the first print-run of 2000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase.

Following on from the success of Royal Warriors, David Chung and Michelle Yeoh teamed up again courtesy of D & B Films for this much beloved kung-fu actioner inspired by the success of the Indiana Jones franchise.  One of Michelle Yeoh’s most popular titles and featuring some of her most memorable action sequences, Magnificent Warriors also stars Richard Ng, Shaw Brothers veteran Derek Yee, and Lowell Lo. Fully restored in 2K, and with the film’s original theatrical ending – Eureka Classics is proud to present the film in on Blu-ray for the first time in the UK. Available from 20 February 2023, the first print-run of 2000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase and Collector’s Booklet.
