Leading the line-up is Beneath the Trees: Folktales at DEFA II, a magical new three-disc Blu-ray collection from TheMasters of Cinema Series. Following the success of the first volume, this beautifully presented box set brings together five more enchanting Märchenfilme – the beloved fairy tale adaptations produced by East Germany’s legendary DEFA studio.
Drawing inspiration from the timeless stories of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and Wilhelm Hauff, these wonderfully imaginative films have captivated generations with their magical worlds, unforgettable characters and uniquely dreamlike atmosphere. For fans of classic horror, The Screaming Skull finally makes its UK Blu-ray debut as part of the Eureka Classics range. Directed by actor Alex Nicol and adapted from a chilling story by Francis Marion Crawford, this atmospheric 1958 cult favourite blends psychological suspense with supernatural mystery, recalling classics such as Rebecca, Gaslight and The Innocents.
