Eureka! has announced its April 2026 home-entertainment slate, headlined by a definitive Blu-ray collection celebrating the adventure films of legendary author Karl May and a lavish Limited Edition 4K UHD release of one of the most stylish crime films ever made, Danger: Diabolik.
Karl May Adventures Arrive in Landmark Blu-ray Collection
Karl May remains a household name in Germany, synonymous with thrilling Westerns and sweeping adventure stories. While his novels had reached the screen earlier, their most successful adaptations arrived in the 1960s, when producer Artur Brauner brought seven of May’s stories to life at CCC Film.
Starring Lex Barker and directed by an impressive roster of filmmakers—including Robert Siodmak, Hugo Fregonese, Franz Josef Gottlieb and Harald Reinl—the films are known for their wild entertainment value, striking European locations and cinematic scope. These productions also helped lay the groundwork for the Italian Western boom that followed later in the decade.
Eureka!’s Masters of Cinema Series will present all seven of Brauner’s Karl May adaptations together for the first time ever on home video in the UK. Sourced from brand new 4K restorations by CCC Film, the four-disc Blu-ray set is housed in a Limited Edition hardbound slipcase and includes a 60-page collector’s book.
Titled Adventure Calls! Karl May at CCC, the set is strictly limited to 2,000 copies and will be released on 27 April 2026.
Danger: Diabolik Comes to UK 4K UHD
Also arriving in April is a new Limited Edition Dual Format release of Danger: Diabolik, Mario Bava’s cult classic adaptation of the groundbreaking Italian comic series created by Angela and Luciana Giussani in 1962.
Part of the fumetti neri (“black comics”) movement, Diabolik followed an elusive master thief and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Its film adaptation—released internationally as Danger: Diabolik—stars John Phillip Law and showcases Bava’s signature psychedelic visual style.
Produced to capitalise on the popularity of European supervillain franchises such as Dr Mabuse, Fantomas and Fu Manchu, the film stands as Italy’s definitive entry in the 1960s supervillain cycle and a key work in Bava’s celebrated filmography.
The Masters of Cinema Series will release Danger: Diabolik on 4K UHD and Blu-ray in a Dual Format edition for the first time in the UK on 20 April 2026. Limited to 2,000 copies, the edition is housed in a hardbound slipcase and includes a 60-page collector’s book.
