A shattering masterpiece, a gloriously trashy slice of gritty kung-fu action, and a duo of ultra-violent yakuza thrillers are new to Eureka! as the February 2024 line-up is revealed

Eureka! has announced its February 2024 line-up. Featured amongst this line-up are a duo of action-packed yakuza thrillers featuring Sonny Chiba; Stanley Kubrick’s tale of macabre futility and horror in the trenches; a dynamic and fast-moving fight fest, starring Chuck Norris; plus re-issues of three films from the uncompromising visionary and a true maverick of European cinema, Andrzej Żuławski.

A duo of ultra-violent yakuza thrillers starring the late great Shinichi “Sonny” Chiba, available for the first time ever in the UK. In the Spaghetti Western inspired I Perform Murder, a mysterious black-clad killer (Chiba) with a personal vendetta against the yakuza manipulates two rival clans in order to draw out his targets, leading to a climactic bloody shootout that must be seen to be believed. Then, in Extend my Condolences, Chiba plays a criminal who is betrayed and sent to prison. After serving his time, he wages war on the yakuza, eventually raiding the mansion of the crime boss who turned on him in a spectacular, action-packed climax that would later be directly homaged by John Woo in A Better Tomorrow II. Yakuza Wolf 1 & 2 will be released on 19 February 2024, the first print run of 2000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase and Collector’s Booklet.

A gloriously trashy slice of gritty kung fu action, Slaughter in San Francisco was producer Raymond Chow’s attempt to capitalise on Hong Kong cinema’s sudden explosion of popularity in the West. Starring Chuck Norris, Eureka Classics is proud to present Slaughter in San Francisco for the first time ever on Blu-ray from a new 2K restoration! Available from 19 February 2024, the first print run of 2000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase and Collector’s Booklet.

And last but not least, February sees the re-issues of three films from the visionary director Andrzej Żuławski. The Third Part of the Night & The Devil will be re-issued together on Blu-ray in a Two-Disc set, and On the Silver Globe will be re-issued separately on Blu-ray.  Both releases will be available from 26 February 2024.
